Notorious Accra robbery suspect extradited from Togo to undergo medical examination for consuming excreta

The Togolese national accused of masterminding high-profile robberies in Accra is to undergo medical examination.

This follows the accused persons abnormal behaviour of consuming excreta according to the prosecution. He is said to be consuming his own excretion while in custody.

Adinda-Akpo Abdou Moudjibou a.k.a Maxwell, was arrested from his hideout in Togo following a collaboration between the Ghana Police Service and the Togolese Police.

He was arraigned today (May 20) on charges of robbery for the alleged offences he committed between 2022 and 2024.

He is said to have stolen $200,000, a gold wrist chain valued at GH¢20,000, Gold Necklace valued at GH¢18,000, assorted jewelry including gold earrings, brooches etc. valued at GH¢5,000 and a registered CZ 75.5P pistol in a robbery spree.

Situation 

The prosecution, led by ASP Amoah Richard, informed the court that the accused person had been exhibiting unusual behavior to the extent of consuming his own excrement.

As a result, the accused, has been remanded into the custody of the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB), to enable him undergo assessment.

His accomplice, Marzuk Alidu, has been charged with abetment to commit robbery.
