Some Ghanaian members of Parliament were caught up in the ongoing demonstrations in Kenya.
The legislators, mostly from the Local Government Committee, were in the country’s Parliament when the riots took a violent turn outside.
A video sighted by anbnews.net shows the legislators being moved to safety somewhere in the building.
Among the people seen in the amateur footage filmed by Asuogyaman MP, Thomas Ampen Nyarko was MP for Bortianor-Ngleshie Amanfro Sylvester Tetteh.
The other MPs, who were caught in the protests, are Emmanuel Akwasi Gyamfi and Nii Lante Vanderpuye – the MPs are all from Parliament’s Local Government Committee.
The delegation also included a clerk from parliament in charge of Governance Cluster Committees, Anita Quartey-Papafio.
