African Teams Face Tough Odds at 2022 Soccer World Cup

Africa’s contenders at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar face tough matches in the opening round of the tournament, which kicks off on November 21, when the continent’s best hope, Senegal take on the Netherlands in Group A.

Cameroon, who face Brazil in Group G, and Tunisia, drawn in Group D with reigning champions France, will have a particularly challenging task to break through into the knock-out phase of the tournament.

Ghana is matched in a group against Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea, and Morocco against Belgium, Canada and Croatia.
