New York: Ghanaians in US protest against arrest of demonstrators at home as Akufo-Addo speaks at UN General Assembly

As Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo addressed the United Nations General Assembly in New York, a group of Ghanaians in the U.S. staged protests nearby outside the building.
They say they are against the recent arrests of Democracy Hub protesters in Accra.
The demonstrators called for the release of individuals detained during the #OccupyJulorbiHouse protest against galamsey.
“Stop illegal mining in Ghana, release the protesters now,” of them is heard shouting. Meanwhile, in Accra, a fresh group of 11 protesters was brought to court under heavy security.
