Solomon Dalung, the former Minister of Sports and Youth Development of Nigeria, has stated that the allies of Presidential Candidate Tinubu are merely enamored with the nation’s wealth.
Dalung also criticized presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga for suggesting that the planned nationwide protest against poor governance aims to destabilize the country, labeling such claims as malevolent.
He asserted that the Nigerian generation calling for good governance, accountability, and justice has a greater claim to Nigeria than the current power-holding scavengers.
Dalung emphasized the sanctity of the upcoming protest, which seeks to hold those accountable who are undermining Nigeria’s shared legacy.
He declared, “We cherish our country, but @officialABAT and his group of locusts only adore Nigeria’s wealth. The protests aim to demand accountability from those eroding our collective heritage. Nigerians have no other home, whereas @officialABAT has France, and others have Europe, Canada, and the USA.
Labeling Nigerians as agitators aiming to destabilize Nigeria is not just ungenerous but also malicious, according to @aonanuga1956.
He further stated, “The generation demanding good governance, accountability, and justice is more deserving of Nigeria than the scavengers in power. Rest assured, the protests are non-negotiable.
Utilizing divide-and-conquer tactics will not only be ineffective but are also outdated. The only solution to the protests is for @officialABAT and his cohort of looters to yield to the people’s demands.
The apprehension that the protests might spiral into chaos is merely a sinister figment of your imagination, designed to deter holding the government accountable. Our sole demand is for good governance, which is a reasonable expectation.”
